COMBINED CONVEYOR CHAIN AND BEARING CLEANER Patent Pending

Specifications for the Chain Cleaner

Physical Dimensions (for the combined unit)

  • 41" tall by 56" wide by 57" long (direction of travel) located under and alongside your existing conveyor.

Conveyor Chain Path

  • Chain feeds into cleaner from the underside of the conveyor. The chain serpentines around three (3) idlers and feeds back on the underside of the conveyor.

Cleaning Method

  • 4 high pressure nozzles to remove loose particles (1500 p.s.i.).
  • 2 specially designed rotating scrubbing brushes to remove particles from both sides of the chain.
  • 3 air nozzles to dry the chain as it returns onto the conveyor beam.
  • All the above components enclosed in a polished 304 stainless steel tank with quick connections for supply and return lines.

Retractable Brushes

  • The cleaning brushes pneumatically retract when not in the cleaning mode.

Cleaning Medium

  • Uses a variety of solvents and detergents. Cleaning solution determined by type and degree of residue to be removed.

Mobile Control & Pump System

  • The chain cleaner can be supplied by any one of the four (4) available types of pump systems. See specification sheet for Mobile Control & Pump System.

Type of Chain

  • Designed to work with FlexLink® , Rexnord® and other comparable types of tabletop chain.

Performance

  • Speed: Operates at existing conveyor speed up to 75 feet per minute. Higher speeds can be accommodated upon request.

Automatic Transfer

  • Shuttles bearings off conveyor through cleaner then back on to conveyor.

Interior of Enclosure - 4 Zone System

  • Zone #1 - 20 high pressure oscillating spray nozzles.
  • Zone #2 - 4 spray nozzles for rinsing.
  • Zone #3 - Mist collection.
  • Zone #4 - Reciprocating air knives for drying.

Cleaning Medium

  • Uses the customer's central solvent and filtration system (solvents with a 140o degree flash point minimum required).

Designed specifically for bearing components:

  • Outer race

  • Partially completed assemblies
  • Completed assemblies

Environmental

  • Mist collection system and air filtration system.

Performance

  • Speed - 70 parts per minute for a typical 1.562 diameter bearing. Speed may increase or decrease in relation to the bearing diameter.
  • Range - .500" to 5" in diameter. Adjustable track widths available as an option.

Pump System

  • Centrifugal booster pump to handle petroleum or water-based solvents. Flow rates of 60 g.p.m. at 150 p.s.i..

The machine parameters can be altered to customer's specific conveyor system and product specifications.
